About Us
At Ascend Dance we believe in providing quality and fun dance education by qualified and experienced dance teachers.
Our teachers are PVG registered and trained in first aid alongside also holding appropriate qualifications in Dance Education. Teachers spend a significant amount of time each year pursuing CPD, which keeps them up to date with the latesr dance technique and teaching methods.
We want our classes to be a welcoming and nourishing environment where your little stars can thrive and express themselves.
We believe in fostering a kind and caring attitude towards dance education and are an inclusive dance school.
Dancers are given the opportunity to take RAD and BBO examinations yearly, which is optional and non exam students are entirely welcome to come and just enjoy dancing.
Students are also given the oppotunity to perform throughout the year, again this is optional.

Lauren has opened Ascend with a heart to teach all ages and abilities with the best quality dance education.
Lauren has danced since the age of 2 1/2 and dance has always been an integral part of her life.
She trainied professionally at Dance for All at the theatre school under under the guidance Tracy Hawkes. Whilst there she gained her DDE in ISTD Modern and CBTS in RAD Ballet.
She has choreographed for both the Edinburgh and Dundee Nativities,Fiona Crows Album Launch and as part of the Edinburgh Fringe festival as well as performing professionally. Lauren continues to pursue performance and choreography alongside teaching.
She also qualified in Bdes Textiles at DJCAD and has an enthusiam to see all arts uplifted in the Dundee area and to connect people through art.
She is a mum of three beautiful girls and often her husband Steve will be seen helping in the background depsite working as a General Practitioner and teaching at the university!
